As an interactive psychotherapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help patients address their current life challenges and long-standing issues. With great compassion and understanding, I help individuals find resolution to a wide range of personal concerns and psychological issues.
There are many different approaches I use in my practice. Each treatment plan is individual and a resource of techniques are used to help the patient find the tools needed to make the changes that need to be made. I am very involved in the treatment and believe that trust in a therapeutic relationship takes place over time. Therapy is not a quick fix. If you need to make behavioral changes, I can help you within 3-6 months. Otherwise, the process usually takes longer and we evaluate our progress every 2-3 months and set new treatment goals if needed. My belief is to help provide the tools. Then it is most important to apply those tools in your everyday life and see what is working and what still needs to be tuned up a bit. I also encourage the patient to bring other family members, as well as partners if they believe this will enhance the treatment.
